Protection of Georgian Wine Appelations, 1 December 2005
FAO and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)organized a workshop in collaboration with the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture and SAMTREST on the protection of Georgian wine appelations. The objective of this meeting was to discuss the proposals put forward in the Action Plan prepared by the FAO/EBRD team and reach consensus on practical steps. The proposed Action Plan has taken into account both the views of public authorities, private stakeholders and the international audience. The workshop, financed by the Government of Canada and FAO, took place on 1 December in Tbilisi, Georgia.
