Kyrgyzstan: Expanding Finance in Rural Areas, Bishkek and Osh 5&7 December 2006
On 5 & 7 December 2006, two workshops were held in Bishkek and Osh to present the findings of a EBRD-FAO study on Expanding Finance in Rural Areas and Farm Household Survey to key players, thereby encouraging plenary discussion and stimulating follow-up activities.
The audience at the Bishkek workshop includes: donors, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, representatives of the international financial institutions active in the sector, and local banks.
The audience at the Osh workshop includes: consultants working with the Facility, management of the local commercial banks and microfinance institutions involved in the Facility.
